Did it a few years ago. Whole hike on beach - flat - high sand cliffs in places - drinking water can be problematic. requires good planning. Beach is accessible to motorcycles/4 wheel rec vehicles....

My intention was not to parse words (fee or pass) but to advise WCT hikers of new "charge" that awaits them. Interested parties can debate the pros and cons of instituting the National park Pass.
