EAK- good to know the ridge goes. It looked a bit too loose and hairy at the time.

trailrunner- it wasn't too bad once you committed, you could bypass it by dropping down on the ridge.

i'll post some Google Earth pics of our route when I get home but from what I remember we stuck to the rock/heather on climber's left of the snow then traversed across to the basin below the summit....
