There is no absolute value because other criteria must be considered. Bivouac.com has a number of articles on this and the general rule of thumb is 500 feet or 150 metres. But many exceptions...

Nice, I was supposed to do that hike a week ago but I couldnt get a parking pass for the day. Beautiful trail and without the crowds of the Garibaldi Lake trail.

The view must be just about straight north based on the foreground. To see Habrich you would be looking NE and see Howe Sound. I would put 6, 7, 8 as Tantalus, Serratus, Alpha.
