speaking of tires, if you are going very far off road get 10 ply sidewalls at the very least. They cost more, but will last longer and far fewer punctures.

get a canoe and head to Wells Grey, Murtle Lake has great options for both paddling and hiking from camp. Might see some people on the lake, but off the lake, just you the bears, wolves and cougars....
