The water wasn't too bad as far as arctic rivers go, although we were decked out in drysuits. On the colder days I used my neoprene gloves, but mostly not needed.

Turns out to be a mammoth molar (we found two). They were from the upper maxilla. I have a short clip in the movie where we found it.
