Main Lake on Quadra Island has some nice boat-in camping spots. Not a lot of paddling to be had there, but it's quiet and has nice swimming. You can explore the lakes over a couple days.

Nice. I "discovered" the peak of Jutland in the dense fog after trying to find Mt Albert Edward for the first time. The plaque on the top was a bit of a surprise to say the least.

What about the Sayward Lakes? There's a few nice paddle in camping spots on Amour Lake, and closer by at Mohun Lake. Main Lakes on Quadra is also really nice.

Oddly enough, I've seen people hiking in flip flops on the Cape Scott trail, as far in as the fields. I was surprised they made it that far.
But I'd never recommend doing that.
