The poll is over and the winners announced. Have they accepted the roles yet? Will there be any official announcements? What's happening?

if you're not hiking you should be skiing

Karl, Rachel and myself are now moderators.

One troll has been banned.

Other than that we are still learning to use the awesome power with which the ClubTread membership has seen fit to vest us.

One thing I've seen on other forums is an ongoing thread that lists ongoing moderator activities and actions. Primarily things like user Ted, banned due to spam, or user Bob, 5 day warning due to profanity etc. You would probably want to limit it to moderator posts only as you don't want it to spiral into "but Bob is the lifeblood of this forum". I've found that it helps with transparency and lets users understand the moderating activity that is ongoing.

Cheers

Hey mods, go to your User CP and ditch the lame soap bar that says "Lifetime Premium Member", it's kind of hall monitor-ish. Just sayin...

Before the vote for moderators, they were called moderators.
What is the difference between moderators and "Super Moderators"?

I was thinking maybe SuperMods had more power than normal mods. Like they were admins in training or something like that.
The "Lifetime Premium Member" label is probably a perk. At least they get something for free.

Does the rest of the community get to know who's been banned, or is this top secret?

That is a perk I gave the mods for their service to the site, it also helps PM and other limits on the site since they will have more activity.

Same thing, Super mods just have a few other privileges and can access all forums.

Not sure if this is the right place, but this seems as good a topic as any to post:So on the TR here (https://forums.clubtread.com/27-briti...14-2015-a.html) the original posting (the one with the actual TR) seems to have somehow disappeared, and now the leading post on here is actually the first reply to the original (and now disappeared) TR. How'd that happen?
