ClubTread is definitely a passion project – it's not really revenue generating, but I do it because it interests me,” says Hamlin. “I'd feel a pretty big hole in my life if it was gone. It sounds funny, but for a lot of members it's almost a part of their daily lives. I almost feel an obligation to keep it going.”
I don't post as much as I used to but I still lurk daily, so I am one of those where CT is part of my daily life.
The majority of my friends I met through here and it's still the main site I use for inspiration/research/etc, so for all that you have done and continue to do, thanks Jim!

Having contributed considerable material to some forums, I appreciate that this site is well-maintained and seems destined to go on in perpetuity. Bit of a jolt to see year's of effort go completely offline in another forum...

Awesome story Jim, this site has touched peoples lives in many ways. Mine as well, connections I never thought imaginable, not just hiking friends too!

It is a good thing you kept things moderated tightly as everyone seems well behaved for the most part, no shit disturbers like I see in other forums, it can manage itself almost.

Keep up the good work!
