Katie went to the vet about a week ago to inquire about yet another round of lipoma removals. The vet recommended just leaving them alone this time because they are not bothering her in any way. The trouble is they just keep growing. I thought it would be good to get rid of them now while she is still strong, but there is that risk at her age.

We set out for another trip up to the north peak of Unnecessary Mtn. today. We went up the west ridge trail from Lions Bay. One of our favourite routes accessed from there. Such a beautiful trail, forest and ridge. A steep bugger. Sees few people.

Had to park a few blocks down from the cul-de-sac trailhead to find some free parking. Wasn't so bad.

Salmonberries....and huckleberries to be had.

Bugs were annoying, but not too bad.

Had to leash her up for most of the scramble bits enroute...too risky.

No traction devices used. I was in boots and they were fine.

We stopped at the bottom of the final ascent up to Uneccessary North. Too much hard snow on that initial steep traverse for us. Come July 1st it should be good to go.

Warm day, even with the low clouds. I was sweating like a pig. Do pigs sweat?

Was another great day up high. 🐾👍
