Snow in Elfin lakes yet?
You can always use BC parks last updates for trails condition web site (see the following link).
I have done Elfin lakes throughout the year, I bet there is a thick snow bed starting around red heather hut. You should pack snow shoes and be prepared to stay over night in case of bad weather.
