We walked 6k up the forest road today b/c my car couldn't make it. The logging activity seems to have exploded and the trail has a piece of marking tape over it and a sign that says, "trail closed". I took a photo, but it's still on my phone. We weren't sure if this is permanent - that the trail is gone due to logging - or just temporary while it's being actively logged. Beautiful walk up the road, though. No complaints there.

To Jonathan's mother, the sign about your son and Rachael's disappearance is still up by the bridge crossing the creek. I am so sorry for your heartache. We did not travel up the trail as by the time we walked the forest road, we were out of time. We will keep our eyes peeled when we go back with more time. My heart sends healing to yours.
