Default The dreaded Mount Judge

Hi, I've been pouring over old trip reports for The Judge... I cannot find many trip reports or updates In the last couple years. Has anyone been up that way and have any update on the trail status, forest service roads, route conditions, or parking? I'm thinking of tackling the climb in July or August next year with a team of two or three people. Born and raised on the North Shore and no stranger to bushwacking and scrambling. I Have a feeling this is a whole other level though.... any updates would be appreciated!

How does one approach Judge from the West? Stave River is going to be raging this time of year especially with our record breaking rain fall lately. Hope it works out for you and all I can say is good luck!

I made it up to the river, waded across a bit, but started to get swept off my feet. I patrolled up and down the river for an hour or so until I came to a log jam/debris pile. It was enough to get across the river. I got maybe 1km up the trailhead, it was a lot of miserable bushwhacking and the trail was difficult to follow. I dont think I will do this again for quite a while. Im sure the climb is fun, the approach is... well... miserable! ( i end up approaching the normal easy route, not the west, thought id clarify...) If anyone is game to set a new route on the west approach, DM me

Stave River? From the West? Don't you mean Tingle Creek?

Hi sorry for the confusion, I thought of doing tingle Creek as a project but given the distance and lack of roads etc I gave up on this pretty quick. I think the standard route is difficult enough!
