Default Ice climbing Seymour&lynn valley

Are there spots in Seymour or Lynn valley where there are ice climbing (ie up norvan creek/ talon creek/owl creek/suicide creek). I looked around and bushwhacked in the summer but no "great" spots so far. It's a long shot! Thanks 😊

There are a few routes that sometimes form that are in the West Coast Ice addition.

Aside from that the Crater Couloire is the best bet. The tricky part is we need very cold conditions with no precip. Once it starts snowing the ice gets buried, and the avalanche risk is quite high even in stable conditions.

Conditions are just not good for ice climbing in these parts. Most of the gulleys where water flows are not steep enough to shed snow. Those that are steep enough tend to be in the alpine, and the risk is elevated. If we had a long period of warm weather, followed by a rapid cold snap, you might get some routes forming.

If you find any please do let us know.

This week the conditions are actually looking really good for ice formation. Sunny days with very cool temperatures overnight. It would for sure be worth doing an evening recce to see if anything is in shape.
