Looking for more technical scrambles in Southern BC

Hi, I live in Penticton and I've recently gotten more into scrambles. So far I've done:

- Brunswick Mountain (near Lions Bay)
- Needle Peak, Yak and Nak Peak, Vicuna Peak (in Coquihalla Summit Recreational Area near Hope, mostly Class 3 but with some Class 4 sections)
- Gimli Peak (Valhalla Provincial Park, near Slocan)

I am very interested in doing more technical and difficult scrambles. There's a book "Scrambles in SW BC" by Matt Gunn that I cannot seem to find a copy of, so I am a little stuck. There are other books such as "Scrambles in the Rockies", but most of the mountains in that book are 6-10 hours away from me.

Can you recommend any good, technical scrambles for someone who is looking to improve their technical skills that are 4-5 hours or less from Penticton? Thanks!

This is M. Gunn BC Scrambles homepage

If you click on his trip reports it will give you tons of ideas; then you can cross-reference here on ClubTread for more details, conditions etc

Also you can look at Steven Song site:

Amount of peaks here is mind-blowing, and there is also technical stuff, but references/beta is very good.

Traversing Coquihalla Mtn is very nice and a bit more techy, and right in your neighbourhood. The Armchair traverse also very good, in Wedge area so a bit further away.

Sorry for this incredibly late response. Thank you both - I hope to check out Coquihalla Mtn soon!
