Really happy to be here - such a great source of information and I'm looking forward to sharing with the community.

My question is in regards to Kennedy Lake, just above Kennedy Falls on the Big Cedar Trail. I've been to Kennedy Falls quite a few times in both winter and summer. I've always been interested in heading up Kennedy Creek to see the lake, however I've found almost no information on this, which isn't surprising as its off trail.

I found an old map/image online so someone has definitely been up there. The map identified it as a Watershed area??? Is this true still? Is it prohibited to hike into Watershed areas? Or is it more of a 'loose' rule to help prevent hundreds of careless yahoos heading up to a water supply? What about Kennedy Lake - do you think its okay to hike up when the conditions are okay?

Any information/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, it's 'closed' - it's designated a watershed and hiking is not permitted there.
