Tetrahedron Steepness: Possible to use Backcountry Nordic Skis between low huts?
How steep is the terrain for Nordic skis? The maps make it look fairly benign?
I'm heading to Tetrahedron Park next week to help out with a school group. We're just going between the Edwards and Bachelor cabins on snowshoes. I'm wanting to bring skis since I'm more comfortable on those than snowshoes, I'll be able to move between groups faster, and I like being able to dry the liners out in my sleeping bag overnight.
I have a pair of Ski Mountaineering Skis (Dynafit Speed 90s with superlights) and a pair of Off piste Nordic Alpina 68s with Three pin bindings. Would the Nordic skis be enough with a pair of kicker skins or klister wax?
