Default Wedgemount lake oct 27 2017

Hi
We were thinking of either a day trip on Sunday or an overnight we up at wedgemount lake on Friday. I have never been there before. I am pretty sure there is snow. I checked the webcams at whistler and there is quite a bit on the mountains. We don't mind the cold. Just curious if anyone know how much snow is there? Would snowshoes be necessary for the hike up? Also, is the hut always open?
Thanks!

Lots of snow up there at the moment. Hut is unlocked.

Thanks. How much is a lot? Do you have any idea how soon it starts up the trail? I guess snow shoes are a definite.
Cheers.

90-120-ish cm as of last weekend, how much of that melts off this week is debatable.
