Interesting route idea. I think I've admired that tarn from above as a possible place to camp - was there flat ground that wasn't too boggy nearby?

Really enjoyed your pix and very clear description of the route. How difficult was the bushwacking?

The only time I did the true summit of Frosty was via the identical route as yours. It's quite a bit tamer than the ridge traverse, though I'd always wanted to visit the tarns anyways. There's a nice contact zone where the rubble ends and the granite begins.

If you were up Claimstake yesterday we were able to see you guys from Silverdaisy - I'd thrown out the idea that it might be Ingrid and her dog we spotted.

It was ok just leaving the ridge but then got very thick with LOTS of deadfall

The bushwhacking was not too bad as long as you stay on the crest of the ridge and not get into any ravines where there's more dead-fall. I guess that's true of any bushwhacking. We went that route to see larches as well and we know more or less where the bad tangles of logs are, lol.

I found it to be not boggy or wet in late summer. It's pretty rocky there as well.
