Question Water on the Heather Trail?

Hi.

Going for a couple of days into Manning on the Heather trail and wondered what the creek conditions are? Do I need to bring water or will I be able to filter enough up there. 2 of us for 3 nights at Buckhorn and Kicking Horse. And smoke conditions, too, if you have that info.

Much appreciated.

Rich

Last night I filled up at the creek by Buckhorn. There is a snow melt creek below Big Buck we also drank from. Also three or four nice creeks just before the Cousin Peak, Third Brother pass. None of the water was filtered before drinking, I've only ever used a filter once or twice during a hike.

I've never been to Buckhorn later in the year than the August long weekend but the creek there is always pretty reliable (we're planning on going there Labour Day weekend so I hope we're not unpleasantly surprised).

No smoke last Sunday when we did Skyline though there was smoke in the air on the drive out between Chilliwack and Hope (presumably from Harrison Lake). I wondered if we'd have any from Princeton but it was completely clear.

There were a couple guys camping at Buckhorn who said it was around 5 degrees for a low. We finished up our hike at 10pm, with the temp being 9C at the parking lot.
