Default Uphill at Cypress?

Has anyone skinned up Cypress lately? I'm wondering if they're giving anyone a hard time at all about it. I was up there on my bike the other day and asked a worker and he suggested they were frowning on it. Wondering if there is any truth to this before dragging my carcass up there to ski a bit....

One week ago last Sunday, observed a few guys skinning a long the way on the trail to the back side of Mt. Strachan, in Strachan Meadows.

Did not see anyone skinning up the active skii slopes, probably a safety issue there with down coming skiiers.

Backcountry is seeing very little activity, if you go there please beaware of the risks. Christmas Gully had some major avalanches.

Check out my TR on Trip Reports/British Columbia/ Cypress...........

It is my understanding that the Cypress Mountain ski hills are closed for the season. Shouldn't be anyone on the slopes.

Thanks Karvitik. I have zero interest in skiing "out of bounds." Purely on the groomed trails. I won't be a statistic...

And yes, Cypress is closed now, so no one coming down except, perhaps, the odd skinner...

I'll report back if the clouds lift.
