2-3 day hikes in April 1st week
I'll be in Vancouver on work in early April (1-4) and was wondering if there are any good 2-3 day camping hikes that can be done around this time of the year. I will not have cramp-ons so the higher snow treks are out. I would prefer if there were huts on the trek for the night, so I can avoid bringing a tent and a suit on the trip.
I'm open to anything within 4 hours of drive time from Vancouver airport.
Thanks in advance.
Here's my list of multi-day hikes near Vancouver that are snow-free in the spring. https://happiestoutdoors.ca/spring-b...ear-vancouver/
Most of these are further than 4 hours from Vancouver. The only one that does have huts is the Sunshine Coast trail. The SCT is quite long and some portions are higher elevation and will have snow in April. It is possible to hike the northern section of the trail north of Powell River as it is relatively low elevation. However, the huts on that section are not heated or insulated.
