Pierce Lake trailhead vandal

Had a great hike up to Upper Pierce Lake today, but on the downside my vehicle had its gas tank punctured.
Anyone hiking in the Chilliwack River Valley may want to park on the main road to deter any vandalism.

Be safe out there, happy trails.

That totally sucks. I'm always nervous about the local inbred population when I'm hiking in Chilliwack. Gives a bad reputation for the area and is not representative of the many cool folks who live there.

too bad, it happened again after several years since the new parking lot was built

Totally awful, and uncalled for.

Downright stupid and nasty, hope karma catches up with those responsible.

Yeah what kind of puncture mark? usually if they are going to go through that kinda trouble, you woulda thought they might as well just smash a window and grab stuff from the inside?

many modern tanks are plastic, even full size Trucks with over 150L capacity.
Its simple and safe for thieves to drill with big bits and drain all the fuel quickly.

I added a fuel theft device to my vehicles, it leaves the thief in a sudden spray of atomized fuel vapors and at least 3 ignition sources from an app on my phone to make sure the massive inferno takes care of everything.

I've heard of cases where rodents have chewed through fuel lines.

And here I thought you would have a heat seeking missile on one of your drones to take care of matters. ;)
