I posted this because people often use ClubTread for trip planning and it is important to have a record of incidents linked to certain objectives

I saw this news and decided to check out this forum for more details. So sad... R.I.P. :-( Has anyone here hiked Al's Habrich Ridge Trail? The description says it is intermediate. I wonder where exactly she could have fallen. Or was she actually scrambling Sky Pilot?

@Lenagan: Well it depends where on the trail it was. IF she went up the climbers access route to Habrich and followed the ridge all the way down then yes, there are many places to get killed. The full loop and descent are bushy and nasty in parts and require scrambling ...I believe I have a report on the it call the Habrich Hell Loop. https://forums.clubtread.com/27-briti...hell-loop.html

There was one section we had to wrap off of a tree to connect to the col. We'll have to see the details of her location to say more. Very very sad news

I would think so too. Official gondola "Al's Habrich Trail" is fairly tame now & ends at Neverland lake. There are 2 short bluffs lower down, but they are not 20m cliffs.

It might have happened above Yukos ponds; it is close to official trail and there are flags that lure you up slick slab towards Barnar cliff.
