Default Fat Dog Trail in summer

I know the Fat Dog Trail (in Manning Park) is primarily used by skiers or snowshoers, but does any one know if you can hike on the trail in the summer? It looked quite doable when I was skiing there this spring.

I hiked it a couple of years ago in June and there's no trouble apart from two or three unbridged creek crossings. They are a bit gnarly in June but by midsummer they should be manageable. It's not marked well but directions are mostly pretty obvious. My blog of that hike is at https://mountaincathedrals.wordpress.com/2014/06/22/38/.
