Thanks so much for the updates! Would there be a good route for snowshoeing up there, up above the lodge toward Dam or Goat?

The "Snowshoe Grind" is a groomed snow trail that you can walk to Dam Mountain. It can be done without snowshoes (bring microspikes in case it's icy). Of course, if you want to go off trail for extra fun, bring the snowshoes. And you will need them if you're going further to Little Goat, or maybe Thunderbird Ridge.

Most of the icy and snow has now melted, just a bit left at the very top where the rope is.

Warm rains and stormy winds not friendly to the white stuff.

So how does that work with the grind being "closed for the season"? Do people generally still hike it or is that a no go?

Thanks

Just did it Sunday afternoon, lots of snow at the top. Easy to walk in footprints.

The BCMC still isn't its usual "wintery" self. The snow starts pretty high, around 940m. No traction needed today. Walked up the Cut, about 30cm of snow with postholey hard crust, under a trace of new snow, easier to walk on ski or snowmobile tracks. I was surprised that no snow making machines were going, it seemed cold enough.
