Default West Coast Trail - Fire Ban

Was speaking with trailhead at Port Renfrew. There is a fire ban in place as of yesterday in all of Pacific Rim National Park, including WCT, till further notice. This also means open fires on the beach.

There is a fire ban in BC? Oh wow, thanks for letting us know, I couldn't see it through all the smoke around.

Campfires were allowed in the Fog Zone/Belt until the latest update:

I just got back from camping at Green Point at Long Beach. It was hard to believe that it was necessary for a fire ban. It was damp and cold every night we were there.

For sure.. We had a camping spot that didn't get any sun at all, right in the trees.

Definitely appreciated a fire, even with a whole week of clear skies!
