there were some pretty big ruts in the road 1km from parking lot on Sunday, some 2wd cars had parked on the Function side and walked from there, if you're in a low clearance vehicle you may not make it to the parking lot.

Default Elfin Lakes Ski Conditions

I haven't been out for a while...

Does anyone know what the ski in to Elfin Hut is like? What elevation does continuous snow start at?

grateful for any intel on whether there is much snow still on the Widgeon Lake trail or around the lake itself.

Visited the Hat Hilton from Lion's Bay yesterday. Trail is in good shape, clear and (mostly) dry. Lots of flood damage/erosion to the Yahoo and Magnesia crossings, but water levels are not bad and crossing was not a problem.

I hiked up Fromme today via Dreamweaver, Per Gynt and then Bills trail. Per Gynt is not in good shape with lots of blowdown but is still easily hikealbe. The rest of the trail is wet, but it's completely snow clear until the very top where there's a small thin layer of snow. May conditions in March. A good hike!

Default HIgh Water Levels at Buntzen Lake

Some trails/areas closed near the lake due to high water levels - check signage if you go there.

Went up Vedder Mountain Trail yesterday...amazing conditions on the trail from all the maintenance in the winter...don't think I've been on a better marked trail. Basically looking at 3-4 markers the whole way through the trail with obvious foot path

Was there but not in low lying areas. Floating bridge and parts of lake trail, boat launch and North Beach may be inaccessible due to high water levels.

If you stick to Powerhouse Road then no issue with Dilly Dally.

Swan Falls Loop / Eagle Ridge (Coquitlam) area was a but mudday yesterday, and I imagine sopping wet today. Some snow patches between Lindsay jcn and just below Swan Falls jcn, with max depths of 6 inches near TT top.

Not really recommended for trail running right now, unless if you really like mud bogging.

Good to know...was up up a few weeks ago and it was all snow covered from near El Paso to Wren Lake and obviously beyond.

Lakes still frozen up there? My trail runners are made for the mud, but looks like it'll be sloppy with this rain....Just trying to strike a decent balance between these conditions and likelihood of seeing bears later in the season...was turning a corner on a trail in Ontario once while running and a bull moose jumped out of the marsh right beside me, scared the **** outta me....a bear would do more than that

I did Mount Strachan loop today going up Christmas Gully. Patchy snow past Bowen Lookout on Howe Sound Crest trail. Lots of snow up the gully. Fortunately someone had been up there recently, which helped with the post holing. Snow was crusty up the gulley and in spots up top, but soft and wet on southern aspects. Over a foot of snow on Strachan and could see snow on Hollyburn and a dusting on Black.

Default Cascade Falls Suspension Bridge and Park Open

Went to Cascade Falls Suspension Bridge in Mission today, was closed all of last year but it would have opened yesterday with its shiny new suspension bridge that goes across where the lower pool drops down in to the other falls.
Signs on Lougheed Highway still say closed but there's lots of signage on Sylvester Road. Gate is open 7am to sunset.

Mount St. Benedict
Trail is snow free up until a quarter way up from the trail from the logging road. Snow is about 1-2 inches starting halfway up the ridge and then just as the climb finishes to the summit, the snow is about 5-6 inches deep
