We hiked from the western trailhead. Just a steep gravel road that any vehicle can do. I don't know what it's like from the east.

We did the hike today (Easter Monday). The trail condition was great, icy as you climb up after the lake, at around 800m elevation. We used microspikes to the summit. Thank you for the info!

Walked up alternate trails to Grouse this morning before work, forgot the spikes and light but it wasn't too bad. Good snowpack this year!

Question hiking conditions

Has anybody been up Mt Bishop, or around there lately?
I'm just wondering what the snow situation is like. I know from past years there's still a lot of post-holing happening on some trails around 1,000m at this time of year.

There's still a fair bit of snow starting at 1 000m, so I'm glad I brought my boots. It's still hikeable though with no additional equipment.

Default Lake of the Hanging Glacier question, bridge?

Does anyone know what deal is with the bridge, is it permanently gone, or something that just needs to be installed each summer so early season access is not possible?

Capilano Pk and Gordon Lake still in total snow cover. Beth Lake clear, snow starts on ridge above Beth. The boulder cirque is still solid snow cover, but some of the larger rocks are starting to show now. Im surprised how the road is still in good shape, if only one can get past the gate. I took my bike, it made a big difference coming down.

Has anyone been up near Mount Burwell or Coliseum Mountain in June 2021 and could confirm if the snow has cleared or not?

Much thanks!!

Trophy Mtn Meadows (June 23,2021)
Glacier lilies have bloomed on the Trophy meadows but haven't reached their peak yet. There are patches of meadows where they haven't flowered so the best time to visit is around the end of June.
There's about 10 minor deadfalls across the trail which is easy to get by. The trail is very muddy and the mosquitoes are abundant. There was snow-patches in the forest. The road to the parking area has been recently graded.
