Default FS Rec Campsite on Upper Lillooet River

Anyone know if the FS rec campsite on the Upper Lillooet River (south of the old Meager Creek crossing) is still closed? We were up there a couple of years and although is was "officially" closed, some people were camping there overnight.

If it is still closed, anyone hear if it will ever be officially re-opened?

Thanks.

Without access to the hotsprings the campsite demand is very low, so no need or opportunity to run officially is there.
So it's there, unofficially and lightly used. Go ahead.

keep in mind we used up most of the 7 metres that that campsite stood above the river...

I, having YukonXL-surfed a landslide there in 2010, would today carry on up the road toward Keyhole trailhead where there's lot of places to set up shop - both before and after the big hill that the trailhead is halfway up.

Thanks guys. Attempted a trip up there yesterday but blew a tire just past the Hurley FSR bridge and did not want to go all the way up there without a spare. May try in a couple of weeks - weather permitting.
