Default Sighted: Bearded Blue-Shirted Blur on HSCT

Forget Yeti or Abominable Snowmen, I am wondering who the heavily-bearded blue-shirted trail-sprinting lightning bolt was that blitzed the Howe Sound Crest Trail yesterday Monday Aug 4? He literally blurred past us at 7:45am at St. Marks and was reported to be at Magnesia Meadows at 10:30... Is this even possible? He might've had a red Salomon running backpack on but it was so fast I'm not even sure of what I saw.

I'm posting on the odd chance someone might know who he is (how many bearded mountain men could there be?), but also to ask what are the fastest HCST times? And has anybody ever run from Porteau Cove to Deep Cove in a day? (I'm by no means considering it; just like to stay inspired).

If I am not mistaken, scattered and his buddy nick just threw up a 3 hour 50 min time for a fkt on the hsct. Probably not them but who knows.

Dean is correct. Gary Robbins, pretty badass trail runner and race director of some of the most heinous trail races in SW BC.

There's no single resource for checking FKT's on SW BC trails as it's still very much underground but I'm sure that will change in time.

This link get's out of date quick but it's worth bookmarking and checking every once in a while to have your mind blown:

Nick and I did 3:51 last week. Hoped it would stand for a little longer but what can ya do

Still a bit of fat to trim off those times though. A 3:30 is not too much of a stretch...
