Anyone hiked from Blanca Lake to Blanca Peak? Am thinking of camping at the lake, then going to the peak. Suggestions on the best/easiest route are much appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks Mick. Unfortunately Squamish S400-S422 has been deactivated and is no longer drivable.

Tim,

What kind of deactivation on S400? And where does it start?

Possible categories of deactivation:
  • Road resloped (undriveable, difficult to walk)
  • Tank traps (virtually undriveable, walking not impaired)
  • Major cross-ditches (4WD HC required)
  • Minor cross-ditches (most 4WD can negotiate)

Not sure what shows if no membership but E-300 gets you to the Blanca Lake Trailhead (south approach).
