Default Spruce lake in early june?

Just wondering if anyone has been to Spruce lake in late may/early june. We'd go in from gun creek. We're trying to decide if the hike into Spruce lake would be on dirt (mud) or crappy post-holing snow. I'd expect snow line to be in the 1400-1500m range, does this sound right? thanks,

Check with Spruce Lake Wilderness Adventures who regularly posts updates on their facebook page or via their website as to snow levels.

On May 24th - conditions were as follows:

It is at about 4500 feet, probably can get to the top of the sidehills at Spruce but the timber around the lake from the Potato Patch in will be about 2-3 feet..approx...

I would say its more likely than not you'll run into snow

I called Chilcotin Mountain Holidays yesterday with thoughts of a backpack to Spruce Lake next week. Alas, they haven't even been able to bring their horses in due to snow at the lake so looks like a little more time needed. I am starting to go through alpine withdrawal and have nowhere to go yet!
