Default Maselpanik Creek Road conditions

Does anyone know of the condition of this road, how far it can be driven from the Silver Skagit Road when snow-free? Are there any permanent impassable obstacles, such as washouts or pulled bridge? Thanks.

I thought that bridge was iffy 10 years ago, then when the road climbed the hill into the trees out of the valley before it split into two roads left/right it was impassable to vehicles. It was getting grown over and thick too. I'd be interested to hear if the logging co. re-opened the road .

Last time I was up there it could be driven to 6km. Gate about 0.5km off Silver Skagit is usually locked.

I wonder what the attraction is? The road doesn't access any interesting peaks does it? I went for a quick look once and it just headed into a logged off valley.

It get's you towards Whitworth and Finlayson as well as Lockwood. Also way up the valley gives access to Daly and Camp Peak or beyond to The Custer area in the US.

Use the search feature on trip reports for above mentioned peaks, recent ones give an idea of road access.
