Stave River FSR land access?

I'm looking for a land access to Stave River FSR. Is there one? Looking at maps, the Lost Creek FSR east of Stave lake ends short of Stave R FSR. Could there be a connecting trail in between? I'm posting a map of the area I'm talking about, marked by point A and B as start and end points:

To make things harder, I'm looking to mountain bike the Staver R FSR, and most likely camp there over night, maybe even fish. This means I'd have to push a bike up there + all the gear. If anyone done this route before or knows another way to get there, your help would be much appreciated.

Wulf built a trail there. People from CT have used it. Good luck with the bike though, it's got an average gradient of ~50%. A boat would be smarter.

Drew`s advice is sound . I would be surprised if there is much left of the trail through the re-forested area just over the divide from Kenyon L and packing a bike down would border on impossible . The extremely steep section through the old growth is not a trail -- just a flagged route .

My advice -- don`t try it .

That area is still totally snowed in (2 weeks ago) i could not get past the junction, just past the first lake. i.e. Salisbury was not reachable.

Well, I guess this is a no go with a bike then. Maybe I'll just go there without a bike some day. How far can I get there with a 2wd car? The furthest I ever been to is Salsbury lake last summer, and not sure how the road is after that.

Last year you could get within 6 - 7 km of the trailhead with a car but that may have changed . The last section of the road around Kenyon L to the divide is usually snowed in until late May / early June and is 4x4 high clearance at best .

would be interesting with a bike no doubt. Do you know what condition the fire service road is in up the top end of the lake. Im not sure if its active or not up that way.
