A few years ago, I did an one day ride from Hope to the Coq. Summit via Othello and the KVR. Some of the trail was really ripped up by ATVs. But still managed to do it with 700x32 tires... but with heavier load, definitely would need wider tires.
How wide are the Schwalbe you used? Did you like them?
I biked that section few years ago. And from Midway to Penticton.

Great tires for harsh roads. I like them a lot. I can't afford one more bike for commute so I bike to work with the same setup.
