It's a good question. There was Parks canoe next to picnic benches on west end of the lake, so they have been doing something.
My guess is that they will close it again. It is the simplest and needs no resources, which they are short with anyways.

On the other hand, this summer will be busier than others due to free pass anniversary. They would have to keep constant watch as someone is bound to ignore the closure.
