Headed up the Skywalk Trail today via the 19 Mile Creek trail from Mountainview Drive in Alpine Meadows. The trail is well marked and easy to follow with lots of signage at all the junctions but unfortunately the blue signs (which have the most info) are very faded and hard to read. Patches of snow start as you leave tree line and enter the meadows but for the most part the trailbed is free of snow and the main meadow is mostly melted out (but flooded). Iceberg Lake is still about 95% frozen and the area surrounding the lake still has lots of snow. It's a beautiful trail. Thanks so much msulkers and the rest of the ACC volunteers who built it.
