Just a quick post with a few pictures from the weekend. I drove up after work; hit an odd road block with about 5 or 6 police cars right at the turn off for Cheakamus FSR. Not sure what they were doing as they didn't stop anyone or seem to be doing anything; maybe I missed all of the action. It brought traffic to a complete stop on the 99 before the junction.
Anyhow the trailhead didn't seem to busy with cars. There is some blow down across the trail, but nothing that can't be managed by going over or under even with an overnight pack on. Trail is in good shape otherwise.
Found a great spot at Singing Creek to camp and fish and barley saw anyone else. When I left on Saturday there were significantly more people camping and parked at the trail head. This is a great hiking/camping spot for folks new to the outdoors or not quite up for more demanding overnight trips, or if your just short on time like me
Enjoyed the Loons waking me up in the morning!
