Default Kaoham,Skimka,Seton Peak-October 11,2015

We(me and Dean) drove Saturday night so we could start early enough to make a long loop that I had in mind.

The next day we followed the trail for a bit and then started to go left towards the valley between Kaoham and Skimka Peaks, after what we start going up towards Kaoham Peak.

Great views from the top of Kaoham Peak,we could almost see our big loop that I planned.

We didn't spent too much time on the summit and started to go down towards Skimka.

The snow was a bit deeper and Dean's feet started to get cold.
Once we got up on Skimka and saw our route towards Seton,we knew that we might have to go back and leave for next time.

We tried to go on the ridge for a bi,but as soon as we hit the ice,we turned back, too much ice on the rocks.
After thinking what to do for few minutes we made a decision to go on the left side of the ridge and then try to go up the ridge again, and worked out pretty good.

We got back on the ridge just before the subsummit before Seton, where we also went on the left side.

Once we got at the col between the subsummit and Seton,Dean's feet were very cold,so we had to stop and find a not windy spot and try to warm his feet and also to make a decision to go up Seton Peak and go down to the car instead of following our plan.

So we cancelled our loop plan, went up Seton and from the col we went straight down.

We were not sure how bad the bushes will be,but decided to give it a try.
We stayed on the left side of the creek and then we dropped down into the valley and once we crossed the creek we found this trail that goes all the way down to the road, from where we had to hike back to the car 5-6 km.

Great day, except the cold wind during all day and rain-snow at the end of the trip.
