After at least two seasons of terrible messes, Banff has finally taken the idea we've been throwing around - This larch season, September 21-22 and 28-29, they will be running a shuttle bus from the Lake Louise overflow lot up to Moraine Lake.
Leaving from each end every 20 minutes from 9am to 6pm.
This is brilliant! I hope they get the word out. I think this could make a big difference in the crowding if people use it, and as long as you're hiking within that timeframe, it seems likely to be much better than fighting your way through the mess.
