introduction post
I love to be outdoors in all seasons.
I think I have the latest, greatest, simplest, cheapest equipment, at least thinking so, kind of turns my crank.
I like to harp about why a backpacker should carry a tarp and do all his cooking, eating and sleeping inside the tarp shelter in all seasons.
That is a tarp only pegged on the 4 corners, all sides tight to the ground in the wind and cold, or all sides raised in the summer heat. Tarp supported by a chimney and one rigid pole for each shelter occupant.
I spend time with the homeless people of Calgary trying to convert them to burn wood under a tarp. I have an ad on kijiji offering free outfits to the homeless.
