Default Rob - gold prospector in the bralorne area

Hi everyone, I own 2 claims on the cadwallader and the hurley river down in the deep canyon. Its very remote and hard to hike into. The river is a 5+, some do kayak in there but very difficult. We hiked down the east side last year and hiked out along the hurley to gold bridge.Tons of black sand and flour gold on top.It took 1 hour to go down and 4 hours to hike out.Difficult terrain. The trip straight back up would be very difficult and time consuming.1000 m.From the east side, as we hiking we could see a huge old cabin and a bus of all things. My claim is 1km just north of that .Im thinking there was a loging road leading down to this cabin at one time.Trying to find an easier way down. From the look out point I can see old logging areas leading part way down.Anyway I love the whole area. The wildlife, the fishing ,hiking etc.Anyone who is interested in joining me this July-September?Must be a good climber/hiker and avid outdoors person and love to gold pan/snip.Thanks Rob

Please don't post about gold panning or prospecting on Club Tread. That, like sasquatch hunting, is not what this board is about.

Dru, will you cite (and link to) the specific rules to support your prohibition so that it seems less arbitrary? Seeking partners for adventures in the bush is more what this board is about than what beer people drink or hockey team people hate.

15b. Topics that include prospecting, gold, gold panning, etc., are no longer permitted. Old topics will be left, but new topics started will be removed.

Posts about Sasquatches panning for gold are definitely not permitted. Even though that would be pretty awesome.

RJS, feel free to send me a PM if you're still around. I head up to Bralorne at least once every summer and am a walking encyclopedia of the region.
