Tess, There are always small tarns to be found and a moose swamp in the upper valley bottom, which is actually a quite pretty wilderness(except for the logging)! No Lakes to speak of here, but over the divide in other watersheds, yes. The meadows are underrated and a neat part of this wilderness.
Elkaholic, Yes I was heading for Jim creek. I made an attempt on up Shulaps up Jim Creek this April, but it was too unstable for a happy experience!
Flowing Brook the number of peaks I've bagged is not 8800...not even if you divided it by 3.28,....not even close, but I've enjoyed everyone of them!!
