Default Yellow Aster Butte - Mt. Baker Wilderness

What a beaute! This hike was so perfect that we are literally speechless. No bugs, no snow, the trail was in great shape, the weather was perfect and the fall colours were fabulous. The only challenge we had was choosing which photos to upload onto our website.

Happy Hiking

Can you guys tell me if the access road off Mt. Baker Hwy is 2wd-able to the trailhead? Amazing photos, looks like a great hike.

simonc it is driveable the whole way by 2wd but parking can be a challenge unless you arrive early as it is a very popular area. It is well worth overnighting at the tarns and then scrambling as far up Tomyhoi as your comfort level allows. Along with Lake Ann and the Baker Icefall I think this is one of the top hikes in that area.
