Awesome blog and pictures John! That must have been a horrible feeling when your backpack fell off, geesh! Lucky you for being able to recover it! Do you usually hike solo or do you head out with others? In all your pics it seems to me you are doing long hikes solo. Keep up the good work!

Love the pics, John - looks like a gorgeous area!
I might just have to get myself in shape and join you for a hike or two.
Cheers!

A beautiful set of photos posted there. Good thing you recovered your backpack, and kept your cool after your phone was broken.

I initially felt like Spectrum, but today curiosity got the better of me and I clicked on your blog link ... glad I did because it's a really nice report with excellent pictures.

For future TR's, just copy and paste your narrative, select a couple of pictures and upload them, then direct readers to your blog containing additional photos and/or info. Easy, and you won't have to describe yourself as a lazy SOB!

Thanks for the tip Greyowl...I'll do that for the next TR!
Allen, we definitely have to hook up for a hike sometime!
If I can't find people to hike with, Kanike, I won't let that stop me! Let me know when you plan a hike and if I'm free I'll come along!

Nice pics and report on your blog, John.
I understand with your extremely busy schedule how hard it is for you to do any reports at all.
Keep them coming which ever way you can.
You used the wrong terminology.
It's not laziness it's time available to spend late nights writing up reports after your other activities from your regular work day.
Hopefully you will get caught up with them.

To bad about your phone.
Which side of the ridge did your pack go down?
Must have been the east side.

This pic looks like you were at the crux where the SE ridge meets the east ridge.

Looks like you took the wrong way up that mountain like I did but it is a fun route.
