Default Toddler on the tourist route; Heather Meadows.

Baker Ski Area.

I thought I'd take a few (badly needed) hours break away from some fairly heinous medical document review I've needed to do over the weekend and take-off (eh!) with Alexa for an easy trip into the Alpine. Having missed a hike with Janice a few weekends back because it just wasn't a good day for it; I thought it would be good time to execute project toddler-meets-Vista Point/Heather Meadows.

Yes I knew I would be braving the crowds. There were crowds aplenty at the parking lot but quite a few disbursed along the trail to Artist Point. Perfect.

Best of all, Alexa could show off her "hi-king skilz" and there was no need to rush or beat any timeclock - a completely stress free, toddler paced, toddler toddle. She even got to show off some scrambling skilz, glissading skilz, and rock tossing skilz. [^]

Scrambling!

Glissade!

MUD!!! [:0]

She actually didn't want to leave but it was getting time to go. I decided to give her one last go around at Picture lake, where she must have eaten her weight in blueberries/huckleberries while stealing the hearts of all the photographers waiting for that perfect photo.

And Mommy took a photo or two inbetween picking blueberries and toddler herding.

Crowds = Yes aplenty.
Sunshine = Yes aplenty.
Views = Still fantastic.

Letting Alexa explore Heather Meadows at her own pace. Priceless

Just what I needed to help me get through this next week.

Good job making the time to get out there - and a nice choice for a scenic hike.
You should frame some of those great shots of Alexa. [^]

I was so happy when I saw on fb that you and Alexa had made it up there! Looks like it was a fun toddler toddle. Sun, snow and a sunset plus berries for Alexa!

Alexa looks like she's got some mad hiking skills. Isaac still bails....a lot.

He saw his first live bear the other day and was amazed to see that the bears love blueberries as much as he does.

Thanks guys. Alexa is one of my favourite photographic subjects. She makes it easy.

Susie she is loving the berries.

Cool about the bear Cody. Lexie does her fair share of tumbling, its the getting back up that matters.

Too funny solo, I think about all the ubercool experiences we've had together and I cant help but smile.
