Not sure what to expect on this hike for turns,I was pleasently suprised that after an hour of hiking there was enough snow. For the cascades his has to be one of the most scenic areas,Mount Shucksan on one side,Mount Baker the other.Six hours of hiking and skiing, mostly hiking it was one of my more relaxing outings in the cascades. The highlight of the day is when I met a pleasant hiker from New Hampshire who recognized and understood what I was trying to achieve. This hiker knew a group from her home area who will go to great lengths for adventure and turns all year.Amazing area with easy access it became a great day to recon future adventures!

Nice report and pics, good to see you getting every last bit of snow you can.
Won't be long before the snow is back actually.

I always feel alive from the smells in the alpine!

The skiing is a little bonus combined with the hiking!

You have to enjoy the hiking part it is a big part of the experience!
