Default Duckabush River, May, 2009 (Olympics)

Why do I go to Olympic National Park? Because it reminds me of Strathcona but it doesn't cost a fortune to get there from Vancouver. The Washington State ferry from Keystone to Port Townsend costs only 11$ one way, car and driver.

The Duckabush Valley is one of the less popular areas of the park, although an increasing number of people use the trail to climb inelegantly-named "Big Hump". It is a lesser peak you have to climb over in order to get into the part of the valley that flows through the park.
