Tsk Tsk Exy put this TR under the BC section. Oh well it is practically in BC anyway! It was good to be able to get out and do a "real" hike with Exy once again and considering that she gave birth some 7 weeks earlier, I'd say she did excellent!
This was one of those hikes that I've been meaning to do but never got around to doing until now. The basin of tarns was a definite highlight for me and being a photographer I'm quite happy with that area as the destination; just wished we were camping there that night!
This was my chance to play with my new Tamron 24-135mm lens. It's a bit heavy but it looks to be a nice versatile walkabout lens.
Anyway, photos:

Exy chose to wear all white. Not great colours for hiker shots, but at least I could point my camera at her and make sure my white balance was good.

Not much for yellow asters around, but many purple ones!
Western Anenome on a good hair day.
Yellow Violets
Krista's enjoying the snow!

Some fall colour display:

Nice Border peaks scene.
Crap need the wide angle lens:
Ah better!

My favorite tarn:

More tarn shots. We arrived in this area around 4:30 PM so we just stuck to the upper tarns. Must return to check out the others at another time!

Makes me wish I was campingtoo!

Time to head back since it's now 6:30. The sky just kept getting better:

Ah the Wiley Coyote!

I'd noticed that but didn't want to mention it. I'm really surprised it took this long! Beside, I figure the border should be south of Baker - who did that screw up?! - especially since Baker is one of my favorite areas to hike.

Love you pics as usual BG!

Cheers!
