Default Mount Baker, Coleman-Demming - Aug. 11/12

The route was in great shape, with obvious crevices, and good early morning conditions. By 11am-ish the snow had started to soften and was slushy by early afternoon.

The hike up to the glacier

Just above low camp

8000' camp

4am start from camp, on to the Roman Wall

...and the long trek down

I get the urge to get out there and follow your steps. Love those pics showing the trail up, especially the lupine patch. The snow in some of your pics looks like it is from more recent falls.

Thanks for sharing,

I enjoyed your pictures. The summit is quite the viewpoint. If you ever have the right conditions, watching the sun come up from the summit is quite the experience.
